Good Morning Ladies,
Evaluations are tonight! Please do not be nervous, these evaluations are just check points for me and the staff to monitor progress throughout the season. Also, we will be measuring you today for your uniforms! Please get excited as this is an exciting time for the Urbana Colorguard! See you all tonight!

SPINAPALOOZA 2012

Month of May

During the month of May any interested members are asked to bring a friend with them to practice. We are having Thursday practices from 5:30-8:30pm the whole month and are starting Tuesday practices May 22nd. Please be advised it will be getting HOTTER, bring plenty of water, bug spray, sun screen and even a big towel to stretch on if you do not like the grass. Weapon Line will be splitting from the ensemble starting this Thursday, please remember your gloves.

I just wanted to thank my four members who went of the trip for a fabulous time. It was a pleasure to be here with you.

Jazz Ensemble

I just wanted to say how wonderful the Jazz Ensemble did today at Disney. All four numbers were played beautifully and the soloists were excellent.

Disney Members

To all of my colorguard members that are preparing to go to Disney. Please review the work that we learned for the parade. We have practice this Tuesday and this Thursday after school. Annie and Kayla are in charge until I get there which should be around 3pm.

What a great season!

I wanted to thank all of my students and staff for a great indoor season. It was a season of great growth, determiniation and sportsmanship. I look forward to Guard Awards on April 25th at 5pm. The outdoor meeting will follow directly after at 7pm. I am very excited for the start of outdoor, I hope all of you are! It is not what you think it will be :-) Hint, Hint to what the show is. NO I DO NOT KNOW WHEN MR. TRIO PLANS TO TELL YOU, DO NOT ASK ME!!!

ATTENTION: CHANGES FOR THIS WEEK

To all guard members and their parents there have been a few changes to this week. All practices this week will be held at the high school in the aux gym. Saturday we will be helping TJ onto the floor. Please be aware that UHS needs to provide drinks and fruit for our feast on Saturday. See you all this week!

Outdoor begins April 24th :-)

11:15 am-Arrive at TJ HIGH SCHOOL

11:30 am-2:30 pm-Full Ensemble rehearsal with TJ’s color guard

2:30 pm-3 pm – Eat Lunch – TJ families will provide subs and veggies, Urbana families to provide drinks and fruit for 30 people

3 pm to 3:50 pm-Prepare to leave

4 pm-Depart TJHS for Farm Show

5:15 pm-Arrive at Farm Show

5:30 pm-To designated area to fix hair/makeup and stretch

6:24 pm-Body warm-up

6:40 pm-Travel

6:45 pm-Equipment warm-up

6:53 pm-Staging

7:01 pm-Best Performance of the Season!!

7:15 pm-Pack up equipment

7:30 pm-Visit concessions

8:10 pm-Back in stands for final performances

Welcome to the brand new Urbana High School Colorguard Blog. Currently the 14 members of the Mighty Hawk Colorguard are preparing to finish out the 2012 indoor season with competitions at Red Land High School and Championships at the Farm Complex in Harrisburg. This page will be used to house useful information for the students involved in the unit.
