Daniel Krasner: Meet Daniel Krasner! A 2011 graduate of Urbana High School, Daniel currently attends Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, but when he comes home to Frederick, he serves as a staff member to the Urbana Colorguard program. Prompted by friends in his sophomore year of high school, Daniel spun his first season as a featured soloist in Urbana’s 2009 show “In That Moment” through KIDA. That summer, he also performed in the show “Illumination,” for which the band, overall, took 3rd place in USSBA Group 3 competition, and the guard took 2nd. Over the next two years Daniel spun in the shows “Fate” and “Seven”, where Daniel became Captain of the growing program. His high school career was topped with winning his first KIDA Championship in 2011 with the show “18th Floor Balcony”. Now at Hampshire, Daniel is suffering from guard withdrawal and intends to start his own program, march with UMass Amherst, or aim high and try his luck at Blessed Sacrament next year. Knowledgeable in flag and rifle, Daniel is a novice at writing work but approaches colorguard – from every angle – with eagerness and passion. With a critical eye and an open-mind, Daniel wants to push the kids to their fullest potential and help them realize their confident performer within.
